Watching fish swim is therapeutic for little minds... šŸ šŸ šŸ

Many of my clients ask me, what should I get for my child, my little one finds it so hard to regulate emotions, or calm down, stay focused.

My suggestion is a fish tank.

There are so many benefits to having a fish tank - and as long as you are able to allow a little time to clean the tank, they are relatively low maintenance.

It allows children to have a sense of responsibility and more importantly, encourages mindfulness without having to look at a screen. They are in the moment, watching the different fish move around the tank and observing the colours, shapes and sizes.

I have worked with many children with ADHD that say to me the fish tank gives them a feeling of calm and they love watching the fish as they feel it ā€œrelaxing in their bodyā€.

It is a really great tool to help manage anxiety, as it allows children (and adults) to be in the moment without worrying about future or past events.
